As for if the Uchigatana is worth it, the Iaito only does about 2 less damage when both are upgraded to standard +15. The Uchigatana may require less points in Dexterity, but since that is where most of the damage bonus for katanas come from, it's kind of pointless unless you're going for a Lightning/ Fire weapon.

The Iaito R2 is arguably more useful than the Uchigatana's R2. I'd say 10 measly points of AR is worth the trade off. This is lame, I know, but I'm gonna go with use the one you like more. Might as well use that option. Yes it’s variable depending on stats. Raw deletes scaling entirely. Sharp uchi if you are going DEX at 40 DEX sharp uchi is great , but if you are at the required stats and dont want to invest into DEX then ( like you are going pyro or magic but want to have a physical weapon ) then go raw.
